DUBLIN, Sept. 3, 2025 (CP) — The International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities will convene its 16th International Conference on Medical Regulation in Dublin from Sept. 3 to Sept. 6, hosted by the Medical Council of Ireland. The theme is “People-focused regulation for a safer global community,” aimed at advancing public safety and equity in medical regulation.
Following a successful 15th International Conference held in 2023 in Bali, Indonesia, sessions in Dublin will explore licensing and accreditation innovations, regulating a global health workforce, and medical education standards. Highlights include a panel on licensure pathways for internationally trained physicians, discussion on AI in physician practice, and strategies to enhance regulatory approaches across education, assessment, and remediation.A pre-conference education programme will also focus on strengthening health practitioner regulation, including implementation of World Health Organization guidance in low- and middle-income countries.
